Dorm life

After waiting too long to tell the front desk at eighty8 that I wanted my single room for another night, I was forced to get a dorm. I knew at some point I would have to start getting cheaper rooms but I was not keen on the idea of sleeping next to a bunch a strangers. The last time I stayed in a dorm type hostel was in Europe when I was 20.

Not sure what to think at first!

On the one hand, I was freaked out about the fact that I was sleeping in a dorm on the eve of my 30th birthday! But on the other hand, I knew it was pretty awesome to be waking up in Cambodia turning 30! The dorm was also only $4.50! I loved my little purple room but I was paying $18.00! The dorm turned out to be pretty cool because I instantly starting meeting people.

Alina, Selina and I 🙂

Alina and Selina were these two awesome girls from Germany who were staying in my dorm.  We ended up hitting it off and hanging out for a couple days. Ryan, was a sweet guy from Seattle who was also staying in the dorm. These three helped me to celebrate my 30th birthday and helped me to realize that dorm life is not too bad!
