I have been to Los Angeles numerous times to visit my oldest sister, Jessica. I have visited all the touristy sights. I have seen the La Brea Tar Pits, placed my hands in Judy Garland’s handprints at the Chinese Theater and walked around Venice Beach. I have pretended to go shopping on Rodeo drive, only to become star struck when seeing Paris Hilton drive by in a car. This trip however was about relaxing and spending quality sister time before I head off to Asia.
Meditation “Cave”
Jessica and I are extremely close. She has been there and supported me through various ups and downs in my life. Jessica is a meditation teacher and while in Los Angeles, I was able to attend two of her incredible meditation classes. In the past, it was always very challenging for me to attend these classes and I often chose not to. Difficult Emotions tend to surface for me while meditating and I have not always been in the right mindset to let this happen. Over the course of this year, I have been working on developing my own spirituality and sense of self worth and love. Attending these meditation classes was a perfect way to transition from teaching and working full-time to my new way of life, traveling.
A great reminder found on a wall!

- Walking around LA looking for a film location
- Eating yummy vegan food
- Trying not to pull a muscle while attempting to do yoga surrounded
by toned LA women - Going to my favorite Korean Women’s Spa
- Going to a “Dry Bar” to get my hair blown out
- Attending opening night of a play
- Getting dressed up and going to a launch party
- Lounging by the pool
